A quick way to know if your makeup is expired is to check for the dates directly on the packaging. However, if you can’t find an expiration date, try to think of when you bought it or for which occasion.
Another guideline is to check for signs such as color and smell changes, noticeable clumps, film or chalky layers, separation, the texture is off, or white spots.

Many of our organizing clients find that it is hard to keep up with expiration dates. It is not fun to check for those little dates on containers. It is important to remember though that makeup and other beauty products, when expired, can trap bacteria and cause breakouts, styes, irritations, and infections.

I am sure you don’t want any of those to happen to your skin. That is why I created this makeup expiration guide, for you. Now it will be easy to remember for how long you should keep your products.

WHERE SHOULD YOU KEEP MAKEUP AND BEAUTY PRODUCTS?

First, skip the bathroom vanity or medicine cabinet. The moist in this area can quickly deteriorate your makeup.

It is also a good idea to keep them in the dark, and in room temperature. If you can keep them out of the direct sunlight we recommend you to do so.
