When it comes to the perfect holiday gift, it’s hard to beat a complete home office makeover! This project was extra special because it was a gift from a thoughtful daughter to her mom. She wanted to give her a beautiful and functional workspace where she could feel inspired and productive. We were so excited to bring this vision to life!
Virtual Consultation & Planning
Every organizing project starts with a solid plan. We kicked things off with a virtual consultation, where we all, including the client, collaborated on the vision for the space. We discussed what was working, what wasn’t, and how we could create a home office that felt both stylish and organized.
Once we clearly understood what our clients wanted, we put together a mood board and shopping guide. This step ensured that our vision aligned perfectly with the client’s expectations. After a few tweaks and adjustments, we finalized the plan.

We decided to use IKEA furniture for its clean look and affordability, added a cozy rug for warmth, and selected storage solutions that would keep everything tidy and within reach.
Purging & Prepping the Space
A successful home office makeover isn’t just about adding new furniture—it’s also about clearing out the clutter. We divided the project into two sessions. In the first session, we focused on purging and categorizing everything in the space. We sorted through paperwork, office supplies, family pictures, and miscellaneous items, helping our client decide what to keep, donate, or discard.
Once we had everything sorted, we cleared out the room completely so the handyman could come in and assemble all the new furniture. This was an essential step to create a blank slate for the transformation.
Putting Everything in Place
A few weeks later, once the new furniture was in place, we returned to organize and style the space. This is where the real magic happened! We carefully placed all the items back into the room, using smart storage solutions to keep everything functional and easy to access.
We organized the cabinets with labeled bins, created a streamlined filing system, and set up the desk to be practical and inviting. Every item had a designated spot, making it easy for our client to maintain an organized workspace moving forward.
A Cozy & Functional Home Office
The final reveal was such a rewarding moment! Our client was happy with her brand-new home office makeover. The space felt bright, open, and perfectly suited to her needs. With a comfortable chair, a stylish desk, and neatly organized shelves, she now had a workspace where she could truly focus and enjoy working, with every item having a designated spot, making it easy for her to maintain an organized workspace moving forward.
This project was a wonderful reminder that a well-organized home office isn’t just about aesthetics—it’s about creating a space that makes daily tasks easier and more enjoyable. Whether it’s for work, hobbies, or simply paying bills, having a designated and well-thought-out workspace can make all the difference.
