- Weather Protection: Make sure your garage or shed is weatherproof, with no leaks or drafts, especially for items like power tools or lawn equipment that can be damaged by moisture. Consider using a dehumidifier or moisture absorbers in your shed to keep humidity levels low.
- Tool Maintenance: Before storing tools and lawn equipment for the winter, take a few minutes to clean them. Wipe down tools, sharpen blades, and oil any moving parts to prevent rust. For power equipment, follow manufacturer guidelines to drain gas or add a fuel stabilizer.
